Kristin Davis fears that Sex And The City is over for good following the disappointing box office performance of the second movie.
Sex And The City 2 was one of the year’s most eagerly awaited films, but failed to live up to the hype.
It was panned by critics and then failed to match expectations at the US box office, as cinema goers decided following the love lives of a group of middle-aged New Yorkers on a trip to Abu Dhabi was not an enticing prospect.
Davis, who played Charlotte in the smash-hit television series and spin-off movies, told E! Online she has not been informed whether a third film will be made.
However, while she is keen to make Sex And The City 3, she does not expect to appear as Charlotte again.
“I could be wrong – obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know – but it is not looking great,” said Davis.
Grazia recently suggested plans for Sex And The City 3 have been postponed and that Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie, was distraught about the news.

And look what they would get for that bargain price! 7,700 square feet, including a 1,450 sq. ft. terrace. Five bedrooms, a library and solarium, plus a maid’s room. You’re between 64th and 65th, so you’re safe from the blue-shirt Catholic college finance riffraff that roam the far-east 80s. You do have to live with the tainted knowledge that Donald Trump spruced up your place, but whatever.

Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall has stated that she believes the hit TV series-turned-movie has helped parents talk to their children about sex.The actress, who plays man-eater Samantha Jones revealed to The Daily Star that she was once confronted by a man in a supermarket who claimed to be grateful for SATC’s ability to approach sex.
Cattrall explained: “He said, ‘You know, you really made it possible for me to talk to my 18-year-old daughter about sex’,”“That was lovely to hear, because it’s a big step for a young girl’s dad to be able to say to her, ‘You know that episode of Sex And The City.. that could happen to you, you know’.”

Julianne Moore Joins Cynthia Nixon in Supporting Gay Marriage

The Kids are All Right star Julianne Moore has joined fellow thespian Cynthia Nixon in campaigning for same-sex marriage.
Moore, who plays a lesbian mom opposite Annette Bening in The Kids Are All Right — which hits movie theaters July 9 — told WENN.com regarding gay marriage, “Absolutely, everyone should have the same rights. It’s a right, no one should be denied that.”
The Oscar nominated actress also remarked about the inequity of gay couples being banned from celebrating their love in a traditional wedding ceremony, according to Aceshowbiz.com
Moore has joined the fight with fellow New Yorker Nixon, who has been vocal in her homestate where she is engaged to her long-term partner Christine Marinoni.
Gay friendly Moore has shown support for the LGBT community for decades, appearing frequently at the GLAAD Media Awards and never shying away from characters with Sapphic tendencies, including in The Hours and in three films in the past year — The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, Chloe and The Kids are All Right.

The Future of ‘Sex and the City’

The ‘Sex and the City’ Franchise may be coming to an end after 6 seasons and two blockbuster movies.
While opening weekend was all glitz and glam followed by fan frenzy on the red carpet, it appears that box office sales failed to translate. SATC2, which ranked third opening weekend, pulled in $20 million less than the original which made $57 mil. If a bigger budget to smaller profit ratio wasn’t bad enough, the reviews ultimately sealed the fate for a SATC trilogy.
It appears that the women of Sex and the City will be hanging up their Manolos indefinitely. Although Sarah Jessica Parker had hopes that Carrie would live on, telling UsMagazine at the Tokyo premiere that “[Carrie] will live on, even if the movies don’t.”
‘Sex and the City’ may be over, but you can still catch your favorite cast members working on other projects.
Kim Cattrall will begin filming ‘Sweet Baby Jesus (2011)‘, “a quirky Christmas comedy”, at the end of July or beginning of August. Read the rest of this entry »
