Chris Noth, who played character Big in the “Sex and the City” television series and movies, secretly married his longtime girlfriend, Tara Lynn Wilson, in a ceremony in Hawaii Friday.

While Chris Noth’s engagement to Tara Wilson wasn’t secret- he popped the question in October of 2009- the ceremony was very private, taking place on Maui’s Makena Beach last Friday. Nevertheless, photos of the wedding surface in the National Enquirer showing a double-breasted dark suit, a dark silver tie, and a white dress shirt. Wilson wore a sleeveless white dress with an embroidered lace veil for the occasion.

Despite only 10 guests attending the April 6 wedding, sources told the publication that the ceremony taking place at the oceanfront estate was very romantic.

“Chris and Tara married in the most romantic setting possible,” said the unnamed source. “Tara was beaming, and Chris had a smile on his face the entire time.”

After the ceremony, sources reported that the reception was held at nearby Gannon’s restaurant, where guests dined on crab cake, macadamia-crusted island fish, braised short ribs, and spicy wasabi mashed potatoes.

Noth, 57, and Wilson, 30, first met in 2002 at The Cutting Room, a music venue in New York City that opened in 1999. While Wilson worked there, the two met and began dating.

Six years later, the two were still a couple, with Wilson giving birth to their son, Orion, in 2008. The 4-year-old served as the ring bearer for their wedding.

Noth, in addition to acting in shows like “Law and Order,” “The Good Wife,” and “Sex in the City,” is also an entrepreneur along with his new wife. The couple owns Once Upon A Tea Cup, a restaurant “centered on the time-honored tradition of the tea party,” according to the website. The couple’s restaurant has several branches in Canada.

Candace Bushnell, ‘Sex And The City’ Author, Sued By Best Friend And Former Manager

In a twist of fate which could have been lifted straight from an episode of the hit HBO series, “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell is facing a lawsuit from an ex-manager who has also been described as her former gay best friend.

The New York Post reports that Clifford Streit, who apparently served as the model for the flamboyant character Stanford Blatch (played by Willie Garson), is demanding a 7.5 percent cut of Bushnell’s total earnings from both the TV series and subsequent movies, a sum he figures is no less than $150,000.

Streit, who reportedly claims he was instrumental in getting HBO to produce “Sex and the City” based on Bushnell’s New York Observer columns in the first place, served as the scribe’s manager until 1999, when he was fired.

Bushnell’s attorney quickly dismissed the lawsuit, according to the Post. “I can 100 percent say there is no basis for any claim and the action is completely and entirely frivolous,” Victor Bushell is quoted as saying. “She doesn’t owe him any money. It’s a garbage lawsuit.”

The Daily News notes that the pair reached a settlement five years ago in which Bushnell, whose alter ego Carrie was played by Sarah Jessica Parker on the show, agreed to pay Streit more than $230,000, but he says he hasn’t received a payment since 2009.

In other “Sex and the City” news, details about “The Carrie Diaries,” a planned prequel, are beginning to emerge. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that “Running Wilde” actress Stefania Owen has been cast in the role of Carrie Bradshaw’s 14-year-old sister.

No word on whether SATC fans can look forward to an appearance by a young Stanford.

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis has followed her on-screen alter ego’s lead by adopting a baby girl.

Single mum Davis, 46, says she feels “blessed” to have adopted Gemma Rose.

“This is something I have wanted for a very long time,” she said.

“Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I had ever imagined. I feel so blessed.”

Davis, whose character Charlotte adopted a girl from China, had thought about the process for years but had worried about going it alone as a single mum.

In May last year she told Access Hollywood: “I would love to have children. I would love to adopt.

“I would still like to find a man and have a baby with him. I haven’t given up.”

But now she has gone ahead with her plan she is “ecstatic,” a friend said.

“She’s wanted this for a long time,” the pal added in a US magazine interview.

Famed Sex and the City backdrop hits market

Sale of six-story meatpacking district home of London-based Soho Club expected to go swimmingly. Members-only roof-top pool played memorable role on TV show.

Attention all Anglophiles and Sex and the City fans: There’s a building for sale that may pique your interest.

The six-story building at 33 Ninth Ave., which includes the noted Soho House private club among its tenants, is being marketed by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets Group, sources said. Soho House, which is an offshoot of a London club of the same name, boasts a swanky members-only roof top pool that was immortalized in an episode of Sex and the City.

Experts say the building should draw interest because of its spot in the heart of the meatpacking district—a neighborhood that has really flourished along with the huge popularity of the High Line. They say the property would be especially attractive to a retailer or hotel operator.

It is currently owned by 2935 Equities Inc., a partnership. A woman answering the phone who identified herself as the comptroller but wouldn’t give her full name said the building was not for sale. Brokers at Jones Lang declined comment.

However, marketing materials have been circulated which boast of the building’s location and “in-place below market rents with both mid-term and long-term expirations provide stability and upside.”

Other tenants in the 86,000-square-foot building include the restaurant Spice Market and Swiss furniture maker Vitra. The restaurant’s lease expires in 2017. Vitra’s expires in 2016. Soho House’s lease extends through 2021.

Dan Fasulo, a managing director at Real Capital Analytics, said it is difficult to determine what the building might fetch without knowing what the tenants pay. Yet, given the property’s location and potential for different uses, he could see it being very popular with a high-net worth individual or an end user like a retailer.

The building was last sold for in 2001 for $8.1 million. However, earlier this year, 15 Little West Twelfth St., which is about the same size—although it is a recently renovated office building—fetched $70 million. The brokers at Jones Lang LaSalle handled the sale of that property too.

CW to air ‘Sex and the City’ prequel

Teeny bopper network CW will reportedly be home to “The Carrie Diaries,” a prequel to “Sex and the City,” the wildly popular HBO television series that inspired two major motion pictures.

“The Carrie Diaries” follows the high school life of Carrie Bradshaw before she becomes an iconic, confident New York City sex columnist, is the first of two prequel books. Earlier this year, “Sex and the City’ author Candace Bushnell released the second book in the prequel saga, “Summer and the City,” which takes readers through the months before Bradshaw is supposed to start college.

“Gossip Girl” producer Josh Schwartz is lined up to produce “The Carrie Diaries” and former “Sex and the City” co-producer/writer Amy B. Harris is scheduled to adapt the series.

“Sex and the City” producer Michael Patrick King said last month that he was “not working on any Sex and the City prequel” and that he had no desire to see the show focus on a younger, more naive version of Bradshaw.

“My Carrie Bradshaw started at 33, and I took her to 43. I didn’t even want to know who Carrie Bradshaw’s parents were because I thought she only existed in Manhattan,” King said at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour in southern California. “So for me, the idea of going backwards and making her less evolved … is something that I don’t imagine doing.”

“Sex and the City” may have been a smash success, but Bushnell’s other work hasn’t gone unnoticed by the entertainment industry. One of the easterner’s other novels, “One Fifth Avenue,” will soon debut on ABC as a television drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the program “One Fifth” focuses on writer Cassie Bingham as she returns to her One Fifth Avenue apartment after her husband asks to separate. The columnist goes back to her old Upper East Side social circle when she’s called upon to look into a scandal that takes place in the apartment building. In the process, Bingham reconnects with old flames and buddies.

This summer, The Daily Caller sat down with Bushnell during her visit to D.C. and asked if she anticipated a “Sex and the City” prequel film in the near future. The chick-lit scribe hinted that a television show could be in the cards.

“Definitely something on the screen,” Bushnell told TheDC. “Big or small screen.”

Kim Cattrall supports euthanasia

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has pledged her support to a campaign calling for the legalisation of assisted suicide or euthanasia.

The 54-year-old actress, who has become a patron of Dignity in Dying, a group lobbying for reform in the UK’s Suicide Act 1961, is backing a change in the law to legalise euthanasia in the UK, reported Daily Telegraph.

“A law to allow assisted dying would protect dying people from the awful situations they currently face if they want some control over their death,” she said.

Currently in the UK, a person faces up to 14 years in jail if they are convicted of helping in a suicide. Cattrall has earlier played the role of a paralysed sculptor who wished to end her life in the 2005 West End production Whose Life Is It Anyway?.

Sarah Jessica Parker: “I still use public transport”

Sex and the City star admits she never wanted to be famous

She’s famed for her role as glitzy New York fashionista Carrie Bradshaw in ‘Sex and the City,’ but away from the camera Sarah Jessica Parker refuses to take advantage of her celebrity status – and admits she still uses public transport whenever possible.

The 46-year old actress currently lives in a sprawling eight-bedroom property at 88 Central Park West with husband Matthew Broderick and their three children – but despite the relative luxury her career has afforded her, she insists that becoming a celebrity was never priority when she first started out.

“I never wanted to be famous and in my daily life, I work really hard not to trade on it in any way,” she told Marie Claire. “I am so desperately worried about anybody saying, ‘She cut in line,’ or ‘She took our table,’ or ‘She got out of jury duty,’ or ‘She doesn’t do her own grocery shopping.’

“The things that bother me are counter to who I am and the way I live. It’s not like it’s hard to be decent and respectful and well-behaved. I do wait in line, and I do take the subway, and I do my own grocery shopping, and I take my own kids to school.”

Sarah Jessica also revealed that aside from her role as a parent to kids James Wilkie, 8, and 2-year old twins Marion and Tabitha, acting is the ‘hardest and scariest thing’ she has done.

Kim Cattrall determined to shed sexy image

Kim Cattrall felt ready to move on from her iconic Sex and the City role, and was delighted to pile on the pounds for a gritty independent film.

The 54-year-old actress – who played man-eater Samantha Jones in the hugely successful series – stars in Meet Monica Velour. The movie focuses on an ageing former porn star who now earns her money working in a sleazy strip club and Kim relished the challenge.

“I had to think about it long and hard,” she told British newspaper The Daily Mail. “Then I thought, ‘I’m not interested in being a sex icon for ever’. So I uglied down.

“I had to put on 20lb for the role and I loved it. I ate rubbish meals and McDonald’s and chips and puddings and just everything. I got a spare tyre round the middle and wore clothes to match.”

And it’s made it clear to Kim that she should continue to choose roles that excite her rather than compete with younger Hollywood starlets. Kim has already insisted that she won’t be going under the cosmetic knife anytime soon.

“I am not interested in being a Barbie doll and turning myself into a sausage for the next 20 years. I want to follow actresses like Helen Mirren and Judi Dench who have lines on their faces and aren’t afraid of playing their age,” she added. “Me saying yes to Monica got it made and that made me extremely happy. And I will keep going for as long as possible. That would be great.”
